I was a little hesitant to purchase this adapter. The price seemed too good to be true. I’ve been using it everyday for a few weeks now and am very happy. At the price, you can’t beat it.

This charger recently stopped working after less than 6 months of moderate use. If you need this for an emergency to tie you over then you should be fine; but don’t count on this as being your long term replacement charger.

Stopped working after a few days! I had to spend [...] bucks on a real one from best buy for my HP in the end anyway which doesn’t make my laptop overheat like this one did. I initially read the reviews and thought it would be a bargain for the price: the pieces barely fit together to keep my computer charged. Good product, to me–no way! Maybe it works for some which is great, but not for my laptop. My biggest concern was having to keep pressing the two pieces together so that they stop falling out.

I have purchased two of these adapters as replacements for my son’s hp laptop. One failed after 6 weeks, the other failed after 4 weeks. Low price but a waste of money.

This cable started coming apart after 3 days of normal use. Now it does not work at all. I now wish that I would have purchased the somewhat higher priced HP name-brand cable. It’s been a while since I’ve been this disappointed in a purchase.
